Transposition

Got a song in the wrong key  because it’s too high or low for the singer?
Difficult for the chords?
Not good for a melodic arrangement?
Then change the key and chords with TRANSPOSITION

Example: song chords are: C F G7 Am

  1. Find the notes C F G and A in the top row (row C)
  2. Go down the column they’re in to row G
  3. The C is now changed to G
  4. Go down the columns for the other notes and you’ll find C for F, D for G and E for A
  5. Remember G7 now becomes D7 and Am now becomes Em
